The 7 Ladders Canyon is a gorge carved into the Jurassic limestone on the western side of the Piatra Mare Mountains, in Brasov County, Romania.
Their length is 160 meters with a level difference of 58 meters, at an altitude of 948 meters. The gorge consists of 7 steps with heights between 2.5 and 15 meters. The 7 Ladders Canyon is crossed on metal ladders and platforms installed in 2013. Specialized equipment is not required but visitors must be equipped with boots/semi-boots and waterproof clothing. Safety harnesses are recommended for children.
There is a danger of slipping, falling rocks, and trees. Here we also find the longest zip-line in the country. Approximately 4000 meters of cable, 37 sections for adults and children.

According to research by geologists, the 7 Ladders Canyon dates back to the Mesozoic era when the earth was home to dinosaurs. After recovering and examining several fossils, it was concluded that the lower part of the canyon dates from the Jurassic period and the upper part from the Triassic period. Easy hiking
The 7 Ladders Canyon is the main attraction for hiking enthusiasts in the Predeal-Brașov area and throughout the country.
Crossing the Canyon
The canyon is famous for its ladders supported by solid rocks and seven waterfalls. The canyon crossing takes about 15-30 minutes.
7 Ladders zip-line
The zip-line at 7 Ladders Canyon is 4 kilometers long and includes 37 trails for adults and children. The shortest trail is 47 meters and the longest is 273 meters.
Trekking & hiking
Those who have reached the top of the canyon have two return trails. They can opt for an easy hike of about 2 hours or 3 hours to the Piatra Mare Peak.

The 7 Ladders Waterfall carves its way through the rugged, high cliffs of the valley. It is made up of seven steps of falling water, which were formed by the break in the slope, hence its name. It is an unstoppable spectacle of nature.

Access to the gorge is facilitated by the canyon with iron ladders and bridges that can be used even by children. Access to the trail is just a few minutes from the Dâmbul Morii Estate, from where most of the trails in Piatra Mare start. After crossing the canyon, tourists can climb Piatra Mare Peak in about 2-3 hours.
